Update Work Order 📖


Prepare the Test

  1. Set the API Key in the top righthand corner

  2. Click the Work Order Group and then the Update Work Order Endpoint

  3. Scroll down to the Model and click it

  4. The Model is now copied into the WorkOrderUpdateParameter free-typing field ; use the resize grabber to expand the free-typing field

Set the Parameters

  1. Set the B2B Code and the Windfall Customer Name Parameters

  2. Work Order Number must be set to identify which Work Order will be updated

  3. When Cancel Work Order is set to True it will close the Work Order in Windfall; when it is set to False the status will not be changed

Set the Fields

  1. Be sure to include ALL work order data in the request as the API will use all values sent (even missing or empty values) to update the work order

  2. Set the Inventory Number and / or Article Number

  3. Set the Description and Quantity

  4. Optionally set the Serial Number and Line Item Sequence Number; the latter determines the Line Item order in Windfall

  5. Use Reference fields 1 - 5 to add additional line item information; this information will not be visible on the front-end of Windfall but will return in the receipt (for more info see Receipt Details, Move Details and Shipping Details)
